Our brief for High Rotation primarily involved capturing the energy and bare-bones nature of music during the time period. While being nostalgic, the project had to engage a contemporary audience through excitement.
The direction for this project was split. For the exhibition, a finished, neon-based night-life masthead that alluded to urban signage. For the marketing, a rough, ad-hoc street press style brochure that was ubiquitous at the time.

JUDGE'S COMMENTS
"Designed for the people — totally Brisbane. The art direction and use of paper stock effectively create a nostalgic street rag feel but it feels up to date and fresh. Content is really cool and designed in an accessible, legible way."
