Hive mentality
The premise of the Enlighten 2020 installation was that each of us can contribute to a collective knowledge bank. Equally, each of us has something to learn from this growing archive. Celebrating and building on the collective intelligence builds stronger, interconnected and resilient communities.

Our task was to create a branded installation that utilises organic imagery to encourage a connection with our natural surrounds as well as each other.
The extensive prototyping required for Hivemind was facilitated through collaboration with the MoAD project development team and three-dimensional designers as well as the onsite installation crew.
Our direction was to develop a diverse suite of custom imagery through the combination of textured photography and desaturated palette. This would create a natural base from which community-minded ideas could be shared.
Brand typography explored the interplay of geometry and the organic.

Creative Producer - Museum Engagement
“Studio Starr’s impressive multidisciplinary toolkit was critically important to the success of HiveMind. This was a complex project requiring expertise in branding, exhibition design & wayfinding signage, collateral development, photography as well as a sophisticated digital and social campaign. The team worked seamlessly with me across each of these elements to craft a highly successful event and exhibition that benchmarks museum best practice. I couldn’t be happier with the results.”
