INDIGENOUS ART CENTRE ALLIANCE (IACA)

GERALDINE HENRICI — PROJECT COORDINATOR

When IACA set out to develop a publication recording the legacy of the culturally important multi-year Belonging project, we knew that selecting a designer to accurately convey the significance and proper tone would be key. Initially impressed by his catalogue of work, confirmation that Chris was the right man for the job came quickly via glowing word of mouth reports from industry partners and the existing mutually respectful relationship between himself and our printer of choice.

Chris immediately and sensitively grasped the aspirations of the brief and truly worked with us, genuinely invested in delivering the highest standard and best possible version of the book. Throughout the entire process Chris was a delight to work with, always making himself available, he was generous with his time, patient and helpful with us first time publishers. Chris went above and beyond demonstrating excellent attention to detail, all the while managing to deliver a deadline that other design studios told us couldn’t be done.

Chris supported IACA in delivering a superb book, I can’t imagine a better quality outcome and wholeheartedly recommend Studio Starrs’ services.

MUSEUM OF AUSTRALIAN DEMOCRACY (MoAD)

NANETTE LOUCHART-FLETCHER — ACTING HEAD EXHIBITIONS, INTERPRETATION & ENGAGEMENT

Studio Starr’s impressive multi-disciplinary toolkit was critically important to the success of HiveMind. This was a complex project requiring expertise in branding, exhibition design & wayfinding signage, collateral development, photography as well as a sophisticated digital and social campaign. The team worked seamlessly with me across each of these elements to craft a highly successful event and exhibition that benchmarks museum best practice. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

MUSEUM OF BRISBANE (MoB)

ALIX PERRY — ACTING HEAD OF EXHIBITIONS

Museum of Brisbane has worked with Studio Starr on many branding, exhibition and design projects for over 10 years. Creative Director Chris brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and exceptional design to his projects. We know when we work with Chris, we will have a great outcome.

MORETON BAY REGIONAL COUNCIL (MRBC)

HOLLY RIDING — EXHIBITIONS OFFICER

For two years I worked with Studio Starr directly on a number of design projects for the Moreton Bay Regional Council Museums, from small scale hands-on children’s exhibits, through to the branding and design of large scale touring exhibitions. In particular, I reached out to Chris to help us design the touring exhibition Play: the old fashioned way opening at Redcliffe Museum. Chris understood the brief perfectly, communicating clearly his ideas and concepts, meeting our every deadline and design requirement. Studio Starr is a uniquely creative studio, reliable and incredibly flexible throughout all collaboration processes, and I couldn’t recommend a design studio more highly.
